This fire is out of control

The teachers seemed to be fascinated by…

…Mr. Chew’s singing. He sang that good ol’ Frank Sinatra’s hit “My Way”. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

HAHAHA just kidding. It was our fire drill. *snort*
(And yes, I am aware that Mr. Chew reads blogs. Don’t know if he reads mine but I’ve got nothing to be afraid of…for now.)

**Note: The last fire drill we had in school was, well, roughly ten years ago.**

Elena’s work of art. Medium: Ink from pens which no longer function properly

Random: Dug out this pic which was taken last year, but I don’t know who took it.

Digi’s Yellow Coverage Fellow strikes back! Donno how long this [new] advertisment has been around lah (I could be outdated y’know), but I think it’s worth some laughs :D

(Just in case for those who need to know: Digi is one of our local mobile operators and the YCF is their mascot — Assumed to be “invisible” to the phone user.)

Modelling mishaps

Posted in Just for laughs by M! on June 1, 2009

Alright, so I was playing around with a 3D modelling+animation program which I found in my computer (Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 — never knew it was installed in my computer!)
I tried to make a cat by following some tutorials but it turned out like something else instead:

Photobucket
An llama-Anubis hybrid.

FAIL.

Enunciate

one I was thinking…Since I could play a variety of instruments, I might as well try to make a cover. Yes, every instrument of the song, recorded one by one. I can’t provide great vocals though, and I don’t like it when my voice goes through some electrical device (hence, making me sound like I’m on helium).

Plus, it’ll be great if I didn’t live in a noisy environment. The ever-ringing house phone. My mother and her handphone conversations. My brother and his legs knocking against a furniture. The neighbours and their screaming little kids. At times like this, I wished I had a basement. Even the neighbours can’t hear what I’m playing.

two Did you know that I still buy toys? I thought that you could actually make a little adventure out of them. Something random for the lot of ye:

There’s more to come, when I have the time to direct those two inanimate fellas.

three The school’s belated Gema Merdeka (Independence Day) celebration will be held on the 10th, which is a Wednesday. My class + some students from other classes will be singing “Here In My Home”. It’s a good song, but it’s going to be scary if we’re using the school’s sound system (since we’re going to perform at the courtyard). I’m providing some guitarishness. Synchronizing with the crackly sound system isn’t going to be easy. I’d do anything to get the class to NOT use a recording, because live music simply rocks. I even managed to get this tube-like-maracas-thing and a tambourine to add the percussiveness.

This is the original music video:

four A new lens is coming this way. I can smell it.

five I Am The Messenger is an interesting book. Nah, it’s none of those vampiric romance nor chick-lits. Really, you should read it. I’m currently doing a fan art based on it. Good things give a good impact on me, and then a piece of art based on it is produced. It always happens.

six I’ve watch the following video countless of times already.

Dead Quote Olympics

Posted in Just for laughs by M! on August 16, 2008

Haven’t you noticed that China has brilliant buildings? Hey, architecture can be cool, sometimes.

Everybody knows that the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was held in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

…aaaand then they have the National Grand Theater, otherwise known as the Egg Theatre. Looks like the egg has rolled out of the nest. :P

See how everything fits together perfectly like an easy puzzle? Oh, but that’s not the end of the matter yet.

There are Cranes In The Sky too.

You know what I mean. Birds, their nests and eggs. You’re a sad person if you don’t get the whole thing.

Now, time for some random pictures…

When the Joker meets Ronald McDonald..

Come to think of it, that guy on the left looks a wee bit like Harvey Dent.
Ironically, half his face is covered.

Who needs that artificial Motion Blur when you could do some panning? :D
100% unphotoshopped.

Up close and personal with a macaque..its hands really felt like a human’s
(Sojourner, does that remind you of Limpet?)

Let the uniforms hang out and leave them be. The one-week holiday is here.
Birthday’s arriving soon! :)

Pride To Sri KL?

Posted in Just for laughs by M! on August 1, 2008

Calling all Sri KL students! This is how the school song should be sung..

Choir music is amazing, in my opinion..The school may have a choir club now but I’ve yet to hear the  vocals in different ranges — Soprano + Alto + Tenor + Baritone = SATB

Heh, who knew that the tune of the school song was actually taken from a traditional Welsh song (Men of Harlech)? :D

Edit: Another video below, which is a MUST-WATCH!

Step into my office

Posted in Just for laughs, School-related by M! on July 30, 2008

Accounting can be funny when you have no clue about it.

Before an exam starts, everyone would gather with their friends at different spots around the class. And then, a discussion (be it serious or not) will start.

There are two scenarios I’ve encountered while “studying” with my pals.

Scenario #1
[Elena, Farisha and I were discussing about the kelengkapan/facilities in an office]
Elena: Is the kelengkapan really necessary?
Farisha: Can you imagine? You have an office with no desks, chairs, or any other furnitures. You’re the boss who sits on the floor and you’ll say “Step into my office…”

Scenario #2
Farisha: When I was young, I saw my father’s billing stuff. It was written there: “Sir, your account is outsanding”…and I thought that my father’s account was ”very good”.
Me: What IS a good account like?

On to other things, I really don’t like “cake fights”. I have sympathy for the cost of the cake.

I can assure you that I’ll be the 2nd angriest person in the world if MY birthday cake is being played with. The angriest person in the world would be The Angry German Kid (WARNING: Contains lots of cursing!)

Speaking of cakes, my birthday is coming.

Short entry, long words

Posted in Just for laughs by M! on July 24, 2008

Yesterday, I learnt that:
-Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the name of a real town in Wales.
-Antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest non-technical and non-coined word.
-C132983H211861N36149O40883S693 is the chemical formula for titin, the largest known protein. The full name for titin is right here (with 189,819 letters!)

Also, I found this in the August issue of Reader’s Digest:
